"Dark times lie ahead of us, and there will be a time when
we must choose between what is easy and what is right"- Albus Dumbledore
With a prime message of- “Love is the strongest power there is!”, queen J.K Rowling has ruled this generation & (hopefully) the generations to come. Here are some of the messages, or wisdom as they call, that the author intently or unintentionally gave to the world via some of the best fictional characters ever. (in no particular order)

Harry Potter

He taught us the real values of love & friendship; and without them we are defenseless in life. He showed us that knowledge is overrated & that it is one’s brevity that matters most. The obstacles that he faced, the ups-and-down he had to go through reflects our own lives with its own dimensions. And that if we are courageous enough to face these obstacles, believe in our self & not to give up- just like Harry, we would, in the end, get the desired outcome.

"Working hard is important, but there is something that matters even more; believing in yourself."

Hermione Granger

She, by erasing the memories of her parents, showed us the real meaning of tough decisions. It taught us not to get drown in our own emotions & to make the right decision, for the sake of others, irrespective of how tough it is for us. Her love for books showed us how important it is to read. And that reading & hard work, at the end, in one way or another, always pays off.

"Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself."

Ron Weasley

He taught us that we don’t necessarily have to follow our siblings’ footsteps. And that it is completely fine being awkward. His relation with Harry showed us the true nature of friendship. If you’re friends with someone, you should find it a moral obligation to be with that person when he/she is in trouble or needs you, even if that person refuses. Also the ride of friendship doesn’t have to be a smooth one. It can have lots of disagreements & bickers. But if it’s true, it will last… forever. And oh, falling in love with one of your best friend is one of the most wonderful things in life.

“Thoughts could leave deeper scars than almost anything else.”

Sirius Black

He taught us that the values of good reputation is falsely glorified by most. When you’re doing something or you’re planning on to do something, there will be people who will doubt your intentions & misjudge you. It is inevitable. But what matters most is how you take all those misjudgments. How you would let all those voice affect your actions, opinions & yourself as a human. Do you prioritize all those voices, or just believe in yourself & never lose hope in your beliefs & actions? You always have options. Also his relation with Harry taught us that a deep bond can be created in a short span of time.

“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”

Remus Lupin

He taught us that how we are born doesn't have anything to do with who we are, what we can do & who we can be. There are demons inside all of us. And that it is as powerful as we let it to be. With care, love & hope we can overcome everything. Also we should not stress over things, & make light of every dark situations.

“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.”

Molly Weasley

She reflected the true face of a mother. Her innocent & wonderful acts spoke the language of motherhood. She showed us the extent a woman can go to protect her child- be it yelling at Ron (via. Howler) or fighting an evil ‘Bit*h’ to protect her daughter. Also she taught us to stay humble, jubilant & love everyone.

"Not my daughter, you bitch."

Lord Voldemort

Lord Voldemort (Tom Riddle)
A villain is an evil for a reason. That’s what Tom Riddle err Lord Voldemort taught us. We all have a past- good or bad. If we let it take over of ourselves, bad things will happen- to us & others around us. Also it is not the best to judge someone without knowing their whole story. From rise to the power, to the downfall, and the resurrection & the downfall again, Lord Voldemort’s whole journey represents one inevitable fact, ‘Good always conquers bad’.

“It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”

Draco Malfoy

He taught us that we all are capable to change. Our past, circumstances & unfortunate decisions does not have to become a self-fulfilling prophecy, that would guide us become someone who we don’t want to be. Yes there are certain things that we cannot change. But that itself should not stop ourselves from changing. All we need is an opportunity & a will.

“It is the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more.”

Rubeus Hagrid

He showcased us the real characteristics of a ‘most loved person on the planet.’ Innocent, sweet, very loving, helpful, loyal. He taught us that size & age doesn’t matter on who you’re friends with. Also we should love & care everyone & everything, even if they’re considered ugly & foul. His love for pets encourage us to treat human & animals alike- with affection.

“I am what I am an’ I’m not ashamed. ‘Never be ashamed,’ my ol’ dad used ter say, ‘there’s some who’ll hold it against you, but they’re not worth bothern’ with.’”

Neville Longbottom

He taught us that being cool isn’t that important. And knowing when to take a stand is crucial. Be it standing up against your friends when you know they’re doing something wrong. Or standing up against the evil, even when the chips are down & your back is against the wall. You will lauded & appreciated for not who you are, but what you do. Also, we all should be grateful to the family we have.

"It helps when people stand up to them, it gives everyone hope."

Luna Lovegood

She changed the whole definition of insane to awesomeness. She taught to be ourselves, no matter how others perceive us. If we’re true to ourselves & are not pretentious, we will win amazing friends. She taught us to keep things simple & enjoy life the way we want to enjoy- without any social obligations & pressure.

“Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect.”

Severus Snape

Severus Snape
He taught us to ‘Never judge a book by its cover.’ People’s perception of us is secondary when you have a big picture in mind. It’s okay if people never understands us. How we look & treat ourselves is more important. We should never prioritize people’s judgments, and should stick to our own purposes. His whole taught us to never do things to get people’s approval & appreciations. It’s not worth it. Also, not every love story is as epic & have a fairytale end. There are few which are way too complicated for our own conscious mind to understand.

"Always."

Albus Dumbledore

Albus Dumbledore
He taught us that there are worse things than death. And that sometimes the unpopular opinions & decisions are the right ones. His decision to give Severus another chance tells us that everyone deserves a second chance. His love & respect to everyone teaches us to not to look down on anyone. He showed us the power of love & companionship in the face of the evil.

“Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery.”
