What better man than Steve Jobs to learn a lesson or two about Life. A man, despite every adversities & obstacles, did what he wanted to do & not only succeeded in doing that but also changed the whole face of technology, & the world in itself. (A very clichéd story, we know. But hey, it’s true!) It’s not a secret that he had a life threatening disease that he overcame. (Credits to doctors of course). 

This whole incident gave him a closer look at how one feels when he is weeks away from dying. And thanks to that experience, came out some wisdom! One of the examples you see is right at the top.

This whole incident, along with million others, gives us a window to peek into an insightful truth. Death is most terrifying to those who have yet to live.” The above quote is just as true as the theory of gravity. And nobody needed to see a falling apple to realise it. Go ahead; ask yourself “If I were to die tomorrow, would I be feeling content with my life?”

Sadly enough, most of us’ answer would be ‘No!’ Not that we haven’t done some really amazing thing in our life. It’s just that there are some things that are always left undone until the moment when we’re just too old to even remember that we, once, had such wishes, desires, and dreams. 

Caught up in our family’s responsibilities, in our professional responsibility, never really had that perfect opportunity, if only I had... the list of reasons could be endless for why we never did that ‘thing’ which we always wanted to do. A ‘thing’ that probably had been our dream since childhood.

Now what should you do, when your answer to above question is ‘No!’?? Worry not. Steve Jobs have answered that too. With a mantra ‘It is never too late to be what you might have been’, ask yourself, everyday – Would you be doing what you’re about to do today if you knew today were the last day of your Life? 

And if that answer is also a big “No!!” (Which shouldn't be a surprise) for a few days, then you need to change things. Change your routine, change your attitude, change your lifestyle, change your habits, change anything & everything until you get a ‘YES!’. We know it’s going to be tough & you’re going to face lots of difficulties. It’s not easy making a change. But change quickly, with a though that you’re going to die sooner or later.

Do everything that you always wanted to do. Regret is the most painful thing in the world. And if there’s one thing that you don’t want to die with is Regrets. Strip away all the unnecessary responsibilities & excuses, and live your life the way you want to live. Remember, YOLO (Eh, too teenish?) and “LIFE IS FOR LIVING.
